Going to Market

I recently saw a promotion for a photography class on Facebook with a photograph of a musician walking in front of a brightly coloured wall. I knew immediately that the photo, and the other photos featured, were taken in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, as I recognized many of the scenes. I really liked the photo of the musician because of it’s simplicity as well as the vibrant colours and dramatic shadow on the wall. Here is a painting that I did of this photo of the musician, featured on the right, as well as two other paintings of the same scene with different characters that I had photographed in San Miguel during our last trip. I feel that the three paintings displayed together make a nice grouping. Can you believe the vendor with all of the hats and bags? Magic!
