Bahamian Sloop "Unity B"

My latest painting has taken me back to the sea.  The stunning photo I used as a reference for this painting was taken by Roderick Bain and originally posted by Paul Lowe. The painting features the Unity B, a Bahamian working sloop built in Lisbon Creek, Mangrove Cay, Andros, The Bahamas. Seen here this classic sloop is under the command of her owner, Capt. Alfred Bain. Boats like this were once the backbone of Bahamian marine industry and inter island trade.
